Biography

    
Ramón León Matías
, born in Antwerp, son of Andalusians from Cadiz and living since 2004 in Roeselare, was struck with the flamenco virus at the age of eight. He took on every occasion to participate percussion courses such as spanish located courses in Jerez de la Frontera, conferences in Madrid, Barcelona, Granada and Sevilla.These courses were given by Salvador Matias and Bartolo de Cadiz. He also participated at several gipsy festivals.
    

His attraction to native rythms and his passion for percussion has driven him to experiment different 'palos' (different traditionnal flamenco styles)
He's also familiar with other music styles such as salsa, reggae and pop.
He already accompanied a great number of flamenco guitar players like Eduardo Rebollar, Gerardo Núñez, Juan Antonio De Jerez, Juan Ramón ´El Caro´, ´Chicuelo´, José Toral, José Luis Montón, Vincente Cortés, José Luis Domínguez, Juan Bautista, Michel Gillain, Antonio Segura, José Cortés, Mario Cortés, Enrique de Melchor, Wannes Van de Velde, Rafael Sanchez, ....
    

He not only accompanied guitar players but also singers such as :
Chano Lobato, Miguel Poveda, Rafael de Utrera, Roto, Antonio Paz, Amparo Cortés, Inma González, José Cortés en Alberto García, Asunción de cordoba,
  
and dancers like :
Carmen Cortés, Javier Latorre, Isabel Pelea, Kuky, Antonio Martínez, Sofía Yero, Torre de Montijo, Ana Ramón, Julián Martín, Javier Romero, Eva Mendéz, Silvia Cabeza, Manuel Gutierrez, Mara Martínez, Saïdjah ´La Zambra´...
